SENDING GROUPS

Established in the territory of New Aquitaine, Sem & vol - Délégation de Solidarités Jeunesses wants
promote accessibility to international mobility and civic engagement, for young people and especially young people with less
of opportunities.   In collaboration with socio-educational structures that support these young people in
daily, our sending projects give young people the opportunity to participate in an activity of interest.

The engagement activity is used here as an educational tool aimed at
promote encounters, promote participation in collective projects, develop skills and
build self-confidence.
The SEM & FLIGHT delegation aims, through these mobility initiatives, to empower
youth players in the area to develop their mobility project themselves. Young people and
educators involved are prepared on departure by delegation staff, and benefit from  of a
post-project follow-up aimed at promoting and sharing the experience with other young people.

Young people participating  in these activities are young people, especially with fewer opportunities, elderly
between 17 to 30 years old, identified by the partners of the delegation to the department of
Dordogne.

Participants can be beneficiaries of educational and support actions provided by
socio-educational and socio-cultural structures (for example):
- The local missions of the territory
- Local youth associations that work with local young people
- Prevention clubs which have a public service delegation from Social Assistance to
Childhood and who support young people with difficulties in school, social and
professional.
The educational objectives of the project are:
- The discovery of a culture allowing the discovery of others and of oneself.
- Commitment to a project of collective interest that promotes awareness of the interest
common, reachable through personal involvement: through civic engagement.
- A meeting of people different from oneself, which arouses tolerance, understanding and respect.
- The sharing of highlights with other young people from a different culture and the confrontation with
a new environment, which arouses in the volunteers a spirit of curiosity and the creation of links
social.
- Personal development promoting autonomy and self-confidence.
- A reinforcement of the skills which will make it possible to apprehend with a new and more confident glance
the continuation of their professional and personal integration pathways.
- The effective participation in a project whose accessibility is not, a priori, obvious, which reinforces
the feeling of belonging to a society where determinism is not law, a society where there is no
not inevitable depending on his place of birth, his social and economic situation, and where
development possibilities are open to all.
- The discovery of the opportunities offered by mobility devices and in particular European projects.

ERASMUS +.
The methods used are always popular, participatory and active education methods.
These methods meet the objectives of each specific project, namely:  allow everyone to
become aware of the skills necessary for the personal development and social integration of
audiences welcomed.

Projects carried out as an example  :
Czech Republic in 2018
The workcamp was organized by the NGO "Parents et enfants de Kadan" (RADKA) which provides various services.
families with children - nursery, swimming, volunteering, social and educational centers). During the summer holidays, RADKA organizes
"suburb" and "outdoor" for children of different ages who are also usually supported by

international projects.
Work: the volunteers, helped to build the eco-educational centers and worked to improve the
garden for outdoor games for children from local preschools and elementary schools - sandblasting and
painting of the educational center, fences, aviary and pallet furniture. In addition, they carried out
seasonal work in the garden, such as mowing the grass, weeding, mulching, ...
Finland in 2019
The volunteers got to know the Finnish culture and language during the stay. They were able to
contribute to a wide variety of tasks inside and outside the center of Punkaharju, for example
cleaning the environment and painting, planting vegetables, assisting in certain activities
local associations and other seasonal tasks.
Other groups were also staying at the college and the young people were able to create common activities and
intercultural encounters with them.
